Packaging Design
Anh and Chi
I am proudly showcasing the full packaging projects including the Me (Mom)'s Chilli Fish Sauce, Sweet Soy Sauce, Artisan Peanut Sauce. It has been my utmost pleasure working with one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver. Based on the current Anh and Chi aesthetics, I’ve analyzed the current colour scheme, developed and introduced a secondary colour palette and typefaces for the brand. One of concepts I proposed to them was to highlight their beautiful, heartwarming family story into the packaging. Upon the client’s approval to go with the concept, the project grew even bigger than just sauce bottles. So, I ended up designing their first-ever DIY meal kit recipe cards, tissue papers and brand guide. Stay tuned for more photos to come!

SSAL Makgeolli
As we live in the hyper-connected digital world, we often yearn for something handcrafted such as hand-lettering, handmade soaps & candles, and micro-brewed beer. Makgeolli, which is a milky, lightly sparkling Korean fermented rice wine, is also another exemplary product driven by the idea of nostalgia. It is used to be consumed by farmers after a long day of work. When they get a chance to take a break, they gather around and share a fresh Makgeolli with fellow farmers.
SSAL Makgeolli is a fermented Korean rice wine concept brand created to get in touch with human nature of forming a community. It is committed to encouraging customers to bond a personal connection by sharing the drink together. SSAL Makgeolli is designed with sophisticated, elegant typography and soft colour palettes. Each small batch is hand-crafted, poured into eco-friendly, recyclable glass bottles. In addition, every bottle comes in a box, designed with a hand-drawn illustration that brings a warm, homey feel. It offers three different flavours: SSAL (Rice), BAAM (Chestnut) and GGUL (Honey).
